VR Hire Cambridge
A civic hall on Market Square, a residential conference centre inside a Churchill College courtyard, and an aircraft hangar nine miles down the M11. Cambridge's tech corridor deserves better away days than it usually gets.
We know Cambridge's venues
The historic core is closed to general traffic during the day by rising bollards and bus gates, so a city-centre get-in needs either a permit or an early-morning or evening window. That is the entire access question here and it's a solvable one, provided somebody asks it before the van is loaded. Out on the science parks — the Cambridge Science Park, Granta, the Biomedical Campus — none of it applies and the parking is generous.
IWM Duxford is the venue worth the drive: a conference centre set among aircraft, with the Marshall Auditorium taking 210, sitting about nine miles south at junction 10 of the M11. The Møller Institute at Churchill College offers 21 rooms and 92 bedrooms for anything residential. And the guest lists in this city are, without exaggeration, the most analytically minded we encounter — the leaderboard gets treated as a dataset rather than a bit of fun, which we rather enjoy.

Travel
Getting to you anywhere in Cambridge or the surrounding science corridor costs nothing extra. City-centre jobs get a permit or an out-of-hours window agreed first, since the bollards rise on a timer and negotiate with nobody.
Booking
Term and graduation weeks fill the collegiate venues; the science parks are unaffected and available year-round. Six weeks ahead for a December Friday as usual.
