Real tension, no arrows in the plasterboard
The bow peripheral is what sells it: you nock, draw against real resistance, hold your breath and loose. The physicality surprises people — it's the closest thing in VR to actually doing the sport — but the arrows live entirely inside the headset, so it's safe in any function room.
Scoring is instant and visible to the room on the spectator screen. Rounds are quick, which makes archery perfect for bracket play: sixteen guests knock out down to a final while everyone else heckles.
Where it fits
Archery is our most level playing field — no gaming experience, fitness or height advantage counts for much when it's about a steady hand. That makes it the station where the surprise champions come from, and the one mixed groups rate highest.
It slots into Virtual Sports Day as a scoring round, runs as a standalone tournament for smaller teams, and gives wedding guests something to do between the speeches and the first dance.
