The Severn is the thing to understand. Only two road bridges cross it in the city, so anything on the far bank at the wrong moment adds real time — and the river floods with some regularity. Pitchcroft, where the racecourse sits, is on the floodplain and its car park goes under most winters. That doesn't stop events there; it just means a winter booking gets a conversation about contingency rather than a shrug.

The rest is refreshingly straightforward. Sixways sits right by junction 6 of the M5 with room for 500 and parking to match, the University Arena offers a 1,300-seat hall and a riverside conference suite, and Bank House out at Bransford gives you a country hotel with capacity for 400. The cathedral's Undercroft seats a smaller group in a genuinely extraordinary room. Worth noting Sixways changed hands after the 2022 administration and has been trading normally for events since.
