Why VR golf carries an event

Golf is the sport that works in a suit. Swings are short, turns are quick, and the gap between a good shot and a terrible one is hilarious to watch on the spectator screen. Guests who would never book a driving range happily queue for one more go at a closest-to-the-pin.

The recreations are the real thing: St Andrews, Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, Bethpage Black and more, rendered hole by hole. Your host sets the format — longest drive, nearest the pin, or a skins-style team shootout — and keeps the leaderboard ticking so the room always knows who's in the lead.

How it runs on the day

One golf station needs about 3m × 3m. Guests rotate through in minutes, every shot mirrors to the big screen, and nobody stands about waiting — spectating is half the fun. For bigger groups we run multiple bays and a bracket.

It suits corporate days, Christmas parties, weddings and golf-club socials equally well, because the skill floor is low and the banter ceiling is high. Non-golfers regularly top the board, which is exactly the chaos a leaderboard needs.

Space & logistics

3m × 3m per station, standard 13-amp socket, ~60-minute setup. Runs in offices, hotels, marquees and exhibition halls. Full space & power guide →

FAQs

VR Golf, asked and answered

Is VR golf the same as a golf simulator?
No — a launch-monitor simulator uses real clubs and a hitting screen and needs a 5m × 7m bay; VR golf uses a headset and tracked controller in a 3m × 3m space. VR is faster to rotate guests through and far better suited to events. We've written a full comparison in our guide to VR golf vs golf simulators.
Can complete non-golfers join in?
They're often the best value on the leaderboard. The controls are a natural swing motion, the host gives everyone a 30-second lesson, and formats like nearest-the-pin level the field completely.
Which courses can we play?
Official recreations including St Andrews, Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, Bethpage Black and TPC Scottsdale. For most events we pick one signature hole per round so scores stay comparable on the leaderboard.
