The town-centre venues sit inside a one-way loop beneath the listed railway viaduct — compact, a little confusing, and best approached with the drop point already agreed. The Sherwood Forest venues are the opposite problem: Portland and Rufford Mill are several miles out and reached by narrow unlit rural lanes, which is fine in daylight and considerably less fun at nine on a December evening with a loaded van. We plan the route and, where it matters, the pack-down light.
The One Call Stadium covers the corporate end with the 1861 Suite for 50 to 190 and the Kevin Bird Suite for 20 to 100, plus a marquee option for larger groups. Rufford Mill sits in Sherwood Forest with free secure parking and a setting that no function room competes with. Portland's combined rooms reach around 280, which for this area is a genuinely large capacity.
