Both campus venues sit behind barrier-controlled 20mph university roads, and getting a vehicle through requires a pre-arranged pass rather than a friendly wave. We sort that when you book. In town, the Market Place is pedestrianised and taken over by the market on Thursdays and Saturdays, which rules out those two mornings for a central load-in and shapes which day we'd suggest for a town-centre event.
Burleigh Court and Holywell Park between them cover most corporate briefs — 240 and 280 delegates respectively, both purpose-built, both with parking. The genuinely unusual option is the Great Central Railway, which offers charter trains alongside a function room; a leaderboard final on a moving steam train is not something the competition can match. Quorn Country Hotel sits three miles out at junction 23 of the M1 for anything wanting easier motorway access.
