We know Leicester's venues
The city's event weight sits just south of the centre, where King Power and Mattioli Woods Welford Road face each other across half a mile of terraced streets. Both run excellent hospitality suites on non-matchday, with level access and lifts that swallow flight cases without complaint. The catch is the obvious one: when City and the Tigers are both at home the same weekend, every southern approach jams simultaneously, so we check both fixture lists against your date before confirming a load-in time.
Elsewhere the choices get more characterful. The National Space Centre up on Exploration Drive puts your guests under the Shuttle, the Athena's 1930s auditorium in the Cultural Quarter seats a crowd properly, and the ring of hotels out towards the M1 offer the easiest parking in the county. Leicester also has no clean-air or congestion charge — the proposed workplace parking levy was dropped back in 2022 — so no surcharge applies for travelling into the middle of town.

Travel
Travel across Leicester and the immediate county is included. We plan arrivals around King Power and Welford Road fixtures, and for anything at the Space Centre or out on the M1 corridor, parking is genuinely easy — which is not something we can say about most cities this size.
Booking
Leicester books steadily rather than frantically. December Fridays go by early November, and the exception worth flagging is Diwali — the city's celebrations are among the largest outside India and the Belgrave Road area gets very busy indeed.
