We know Crawley's venues
Everything here funnels through M23 junctions 10 and 11 and the Gatwick spur, which is manageable. Less manageable, and the thing that catches out suppliers who don't work this patch: the airport's multi-storey car parks are height-barriered at around 2.1 metres. A Luton simply cannot enter one. Airport-side jobs therefore go to long-stay or the coach and service areas, agreed before the day rather than discovered at a barrier with a queue building behind you.
Away from the terminals the town is a 1940s new town with generous roads and venues that own their parking. The Hawth combines an 855-seat theatre with seven meeting rooms in a woodland setting, K2 has sports halls and space to spare, and Broadfield Stadium runs lounges and boxes. One naming note: Broadfield reverted from its sponsor name back in 2022, though plenty of listings still haven't noticed.

Crawley and the immediate Gatwick corridor comes with travel covered. Airport-side jobs get their parking arranged before we set off, because height barriers there are absolute rather than negotiable.

The corporate calendar rules this town rather than the party one. Autumn tightens first, December Fridays go by early November, and August is unusually open. Gatwick's own conference calendar drives hotel availability here more than the local one does, so a flexible date opens up considerably more choice. The Hawth's meeting rooms stay open longest of anything in town, which helps when a date cannot move.
