Speaking of which: during The Championships, from late June into early July, an event traffic order closes roads and suspends parking right across Wimbledon Village and Church Road. It is comprehensive, it is enforced, and it makes a corporate event anywhere nearby a genuine struggle. We flag it immediately. Worth saying plainly too — the All England Club is a private members' club for fifty weeks of the year and does not offer general commercial venue hire, whatever a search result might imply.

What is available is good. The Cherry Red Records Stadium at Plough Lane runs suites and boxes from two people to 600 in a ground that only opened recently, so the facilities are modern and the access is sensible. Hotel du Vin Cannizaro House gives you a Georgian mansion on the edge of the Common with six event rooms. The whole borough sits inside the ULEZ, which our vehicles clear as standard.

The All England Club is a private members' club outside the fortnight and doesn't offer commercial hire, so it isn't an option however the search results read.
