VR Hire Warrington

Poised precisely between Manchester and Liverpool where the M6 crosses the M62, Warrington is where North West companies agree to meet. Our hosted VR sports run in its business parks, stadium suites and town-centre halls.

Local knowledge

We know Warrington's venues

The local quirk everyone underestimates is the Manchester Ship Canal. Three swing bridges — Chester Road, London Road and Knutsford Road — open for shipping, and they have a well-earned reputation for occasionally sticking open, which turns a five-minute crossing into a thirty-minute detour via the Cantilever. We build that risk into arrival times rather than discovering it with a van full of kit, which is the whole reason a local supplier beats one driving in blind.

Beyond the bridges, Warrington is genuinely easy. Birchwood Park's business campus has the sort of purpose-built event rooms that come with parking attached, the Halliwell Jones Stadium runs proper hospitality zones on non-matchday, and Daresbury Park sits just off the M56 for anything wanting a conference-centre feel. It's also the natural neutral ground for a company split across both cities — nobody has to concede the away fixture.

Travel & booking

The practical bit

Travel

Travel across Warrington is included, with arrival times built around the Ship Canal swing bridges and the M6/M62 junction's habits. Being genuinely local here means knowing which crossing to avoid on a given afternoon, not just which postcode to aim at.

Booking

An easy diary compared with the big cities either side of it. December still books early, but for most of the year a fortnight's notice gets you the date and the room you actually wanted.

Warrington FAQs

Good questions, straight answers

Do the swing bridges ever delay a setup?
They're the one genuine Warrington risk and we plan for them. The Ship Canal bridges open for shipping and have stuck open before now, so we allow for a Cantilever detour in the schedule. It costs us a slightly earlier start; it costs you nothing.
Is Warrington a good middle point for a split team?
It's the reason a lot of our bookings land here. Manchester and Liverpool are both about half an hour away, the M6 and M62 meet on the doorstep, and neither office has to feel like it travelled further than the other.
Can you run an event at Birchwood Park?
Regularly. The campus rooms are purpose-built with level access and parking, which makes for one of the smoothest load-ins in the North West. A four-station tournament fits comfortably.
What's included in the travel price?
Warrington and the immediate area. St Helens, Widnes, Runcorn and Northwich carry a small itemised mileage line, and Manchester, Liverpool and Chester are all quoted just as plainly.
How much notice does a Warrington date need?
A fortnight generally does it. December Fridays are the exception at roughly six weeks out, and it pays to check the Wolves fixture list if your venue sits near the ground.
