VR Christmas Party Nottingham
The city that fills Old Market Square with a Winter Wonderland knows how to do December. What most parties still lack is the hour after dessert — so we bring a tournament, a host and a scoreboard, and that hour becomes the story of the night.
A Nottingham December, done properly
We plan around the Square
From mid-November the Winter Wonderland bends city-centre traffic and swallows the nearest parking. Our load-ins route and time around it as a matter of course, so a venue two streets from the ice bar is still a punctual build.
Rooms of every vintage
Georgian ballrooms at Colwick, warehouse floors in the Lace Market, hotel function suites and your own office — the rig adapts to all of them, and we do the venue liaison so you're not translating between a DJ and a duty manager.
Entertainment that includes everyone
A band plays at people and a disco waits for courage. A leaderboard gets the graduate scheme and the board arguing on equal terms — turns take ninety seconds and nobody changes out of their party clothes.
The evening, minute by minute
Slotted into your existing running order — dinner, tournament, dancing, in whatever proportions your room prefers.
We rig in the agreed corner while courses come out. Guests notice nothing until the screen lights up.
Open turns, live scores, zero pressure. The first reluctant volunteer becomes the evening's loudest competitor — every single time.
Four names, one champion, a room that has picked sides with alarming commitment. The DJ gets a crowd already warmed up.
Medal moment, quick photo, kit away. The dance floor inherits the energy and the leaderboard screenshot does the rounds by midnight.

How it plays in Nottingham
Nottingham's party geography is generous. Colwick Hall gives you the grand riverside backdrop, the Lace Market's converted floors do industrial-romantic better than almost anywhere, the cricket ground runs polished party nights, and the hotel suites along Maid Marian Way absorb whole company floors. We've rigged in all four species. The awkward ones are the heritage rooms — listed fixtures, protective floors — and that's precisely where a self-contained rig on its own mats earns its keep.
The running order never fights your caterer. We build while the room eats, open qualifying as coffee lands, and let the screen do the recruiting — by the third big score the queue is self-sustaining. Finals run before the DJ's peak hour with the whole room watching four names battle it out. Then the mats vanish, the floor fills, and the group chat spends the rest of December relitigating the semi-final.
