Why VR

The away day the weather can't cancel

Indoors, by design

Every classic Scottish team activity carries a rain contingency. Ours is a contingency-free zone: the Old Course in perfect conditions, every single time.

Competitive in the right way

Glasgow offices don't need help generating banter — they need a scoreboard to aim it at. Live leaderboards and finals give the patter a productive outlet.

Nothing for you to organise

Host, kit, scoring, prizes — handled. You supply the teams and the team names, and we've heard some magnificent ones in this city.

The format

The two-hour takeover, Glasgow edition

Qualifying, finals and a podium — indoors, hosted, and immune to whatever's coming in off the Atlantic.

0:00 Build & briefing

Stations up inside the hour. Your host explains the format and takes team registrations — sensible names optional.

0:60 Qualifying

Rotations through golf, racing and archery. The leaderboard starts talking and the office starts answering back.

1:45 Finals

Top four on the spectator screen, the rest of the floor providing atmosphere Hampden would recognise.

2:00 Podium

Champions crowned, photos taken, pack-down done. The result stands, no matter what the group chat says.

How it plays in Glasgow

Glasgow's corporate crowd — the financial district's insurers and banks, the Skypark and Finnieston digital firms, the engineering offices strung along the Clyde — books team building with one consistent brief: proper competition, zero corporate cringe. The tournament format delivers because the stakes are visible: every score on the big screen, a finals bracket, and a champion whose victory will be re-litigated at every stand-up for a month.

Golf carries a particular charge in Scotland — half your office has a swing and firm opinions about it, the other half has been press-ganged into watching the Open at a relative's house. Both halves meet as equals on the VR tee, which is precisely the fun. We run it on your floor (LEZ-compliant van, flight cases, lifts) or at a hired room in the Merchant City when you want the event away from the desks.

Glasgow FAQs

Asked before every booking

Half our team is in Edinburgh — can we settle this properly?
The inter-office grudge match is our favourite Scottish booking: same event in each city, one combined leaderboard, and a champion office declared. We run both legs the same week so nobody can blame form.
Does the golf hold up in front of actual golfers?
It does — real course recreations, proper swing physics, and formats like nearest-the-pin that reward touch over muscle memory. The club players usually start favourites and finish humbled by someone whose only previous swing was a fly swat.
Can you run it at our office in the financial district?
Yes — the IFSD's towers are standard ground: goods lift, flight cases, building management briefed in advance. A cleared breakout corner runs a two-station rotation; bigger floors take the full four-station build.
What about teams outside the city — Paisley, Stirling, Ayrshire?
All regular ground from our Glasgow runs, with mileage itemised plainly. Central-belt business parks often have the best event spaces in the building and don't know it until we arrive.
How much notice does a Glasgow team event need?
A fortnight covers most of the year. Pre-Christmas weeks and conference season tighten things — six weeks out gets you first choice then.
