Half the value here is the watching. Liverpool crowds commentate, heckle and adopt an underdog within about four minutes, which is exactly the atmosphere the format is designed to catch.
We read the fixture list
Anfield and the waterfront stadium both move traffic and beds on match days. We check both before agreeing a load-in time, so nobody spends the build hour circling the docks.
No venue minimum spend
Your own floor costs nothing to book, has no bar minimum and doesn't turn over at six. We bring the venue with us.
A two-hour office takeover
Short turns, fast rotation and a finals round loud enough that the floor above asks what's going on.
In through the service door, mats down, two to four stations up. We've already agreed the route with the building and checked whether there's a home game.
Teams rotate through the sports in quick turns. Scores post live, and the commentary starts without any prompting from us.
Top four on the spectator screen with the whole room behind them. This is the part that ends up on someone's phone.
Champion crowned, photos taken, kit away. We're out before the taxis arrive.
How it plays in Liverpool
The city's working geography suits us well. The dockside estate around Kings Dock and the Pier Head hotels offer level service access, proper freight lifts and power that behaves — genuinely among the easiest rooms in the north to build in. The Baltic Triangle is the other flavour entirely: warehouse conversions with character and quirks in equal measure, which we scout ahead of the day rather than meeting cold at four o'clock.
What tends to surprise organisers is how quickly a Liverpool floor commits. Elsewhere the first round is polite and the crowd builds slowly; here somebody starts narrating the leaderboard almost immediately and the whole thing finds its level within one rotation. It makes the two-hour format feel short, which is the right problem to have — and it's why we'd generally steer a Liverpool booking towards a finals round with an audience rather than a quiet parallel setup.
