VR Team Building Southampton

Hosted VR tournaments for Solent employers — maritime headquarters, science parks and the M27's business estates. We bring the stations, the host and the leaderboard to your floor; the afternoon does the rest.

Why VR

Team building that fits the Solent

Shift-friendly by design

Cruise, port and logistics employers never have the whole company at a desk at once. We run rolling qualifying across the session so early and late shifts both get scored turns — the leaderboard doesn't care when you clocked in.

The corridor is one zone

Ocean Village, the city-centre towers, Adanac Park, Chilworth and the Hedge End estates all price the same. Portsmouth, Winchester and the wider M27 run carry one honest mileage line, never a quiet premium.

Weatherproof, unlike the Solent

Sailing days and outdoor challenges are hostage to the forecast ten months a year here. This runs identically in January sleet and August heat, because it happens indoors on your own carpet.

The format

How the session runs

A working afternoon, upgraded — no venue booked, no transport arranged, no forecast checked.

0:00 Build in the corner

Trolleys in, turf and stations rigged, screen tested — all while the team carries on. The only thing we borrow is a socket.

0:60 Everyone qualifies

Scored turns in steady rotation, with walk-ups welcome between meetings. Nothing recruits like the sound of a near-miss on the big screen.

1:45 Finals, loudly

The four best scores face off while the floor abandons all pretence of working. An underdog wins more often than not.

2:00 Handover and out

Champion celebrated, kit wheeled out, carpet as we found it. Your meeting room is a meeting room again by half past.

How it plays in Southampton

Southampton's employers cluster oddly and we've built for most flavours: marine and cruise businesses around Ocean Village and the docks, the professional floors in the centre, Ordnance Survey-scale campuses at Adanac Park, and the research units up at Chilworth. Ground-floor estates are the easy days. Dockside offices bring gate passes and escort rules, and we handle that paperwork ourselves — send one security contact and the rest stops being your problem.

What the format does well here is stitch together teams that rarely meet: office staff, ops people and the colleagues who spend half the year elsewhere. Ninety-second turns mean nobody holds a headset hostage, scores post instantly, and by finals time the room has organised itself into factions no org chart predicted. Fridays fill first — the walk from most floors to a harbourside table afterwards is short and popular.

Southampton FAQs

Asked before every booking

Can you work inside the port or a dockside office?
Yes. Secure sites mean gate passes, escorts and sometimes a vehicle check, and we've done the dance before — give us your security contact a week out and we arrive with the paperwork already agreed.
Half our team is at sea or on rotation — does it still work?
Better than most formats. Qualifying runs all session, so whoever is in that day gets their turn, and we've run second sessions on the alternate rota so the other half gets its own champion. Two trophies, one bragging-rights problem.
Is Portsmouth or Winchester extra?
A single itemised travel line, calculated on distance and shown on the quote before you commit. No percentage uplifts, no surprises on the invoice.
What does a session cost per person?
A 40-person Office Takeover lands near £22 a head all-in. Under about 15 people, the ninety-minute Energiser gives the same experience for sensibly less.
When should we book?
Two weeks ahead is fine most of the year. December and the pre-summer run tighten first, and secure-site jobs want an extra week for passes — so those, book a month out.
