VR Team Building Birmingham

Hosted VR tournaments for West Midlands teams — golf, racing and archery on one leaderboard, at your office, your conference hotel or your NEC show-week HQ.

Why VR

Away days without the away

Your floor is the venue

Colmore Row office or business-park atrium — if there's a 3m × 3m corner, there's a tournament. Nobody books a minibus to Bromsgrove.

A genuinely level field

Swing, steer, draw — skills nobody on the team has professionally. Watch the pecking order rearrange itself in real time.

Run end-to-end for you

Host, scoring, rotations, disputes — all ours. The organiser's only decision is the team names, and we'd urge restraint.

The format

The two-hour takeover, Birmingham edition

Qualifying, finals, podium — fitted around your floor's afternoon, or bolted onto a conference day at the ICC or NEC.

0:00 Load-in & build

Loading bay booked, CAZ handled, stations up in about an hour while your team clears the decks.

0:60 Group rounds

Short rotations through golf, racing and archery. Scores stack on the leaderboard; the atrium starts taking sides.

1:45 Finals on the big screen

The top four shoot out while everyone else provides commentary of variable quality.

2:00 Podium

Medals and photos for the champions, a grievance procedure for second place. We pack down around the celebrations.

How it plays in Birmingham

Birmingham teams split between two habitats and we work both. City-core firms — the professional services stacked along Colmore Row and around Snow Hill — book the office-takeover format as an afternoon energiser, flight cases up the goods lift, Clean Air Zone compliance already ours to worry about. Out on the business parks and around the NEC belt, bigger floors and easier parking make the full Virtual Sports Day the natural pick.

There's a third Birmingham move nobody else offers: teams already gathered for a conference or show week. If your people are at the ICC or the NEC anyway, we bolt a tournament onto the end of the day — same venue, zero extra travel, and delegates leave remembering the finals rather than the fourth keynote. Ask for a show-week slot when you enquire.

Birmingham FAQs

Asked before every booking

Can you run team building during our NEC or ICC conference?
Yes — it's one of our favourite Birmingham jobs. We coordinate with the venue's event team, set up in your hired space or stand area, and run the tournament as the day's closer. Delegates who've sat through eight hours of talks turn out to be ferociously competitive.
We're a Black Country office — do you come to us?
Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley and Sandwell are all regular ground with a small itemised mileage line. The event itself is identical — the leaderboard doesn't check the postcode.
What space do we need for 60 people?
A four-station setup with spectator screen wants roughly 8m × 6m — most business-park breakout floors and hotel function rooms clear it easily. Tighter city-centre floors run a rotating two-station format instead; nobody waits long either way.
Does it work for a team with wildly mixed ages?
That's its natural habitat. The sports are low-impact and skill-based rather than reflex-twitch, so the leaderboard routinely ignores age, seniority and self-declared gaming pedigree. HR-friendly, grudge-compatible.
How far ahead should Birmingham teams book?
A fortnight for normal weeks. NEC show weeks and December compress everything — for those, six weeks' notice gets first pick of slots.
